About

APCC opened as a child care organization in 1975 and has since grown to become the largest multi-service social service agency in Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood. APCC's mission is to educate and support members of the community as they determine their own path of growth and development, by providing diverse programs and services for individuals, families, groups, and businesses.

APCC services cross many issue areas that support families and the community. These include business services, public safety, workforce development programs, adult education in ESL and ABE/GED, United States veterans assistance, adult education, individual and family mental health and wellness counseling, a variety of children and youth programs and others.

The Albany Park Community Center's Office of Business Planning & Development Services is to improve and serve Albany Park's commercial district and support the community as a whole. We recognize that it is important to be able to start and maintain businesses and that a strong connection between the business district and our residential areas is essential to the overall health of our community. APCC serves as a catalyst for economic growth, assures a stable atmosphere among our many ethnic businesses, provides leadership for the business community, and connects businesses to larger, citywide technical assistance programs. We deliver customized business counseling, foster neighborhood engagement with the local business community, drive neighborhood economic vitality through business attraction and retention, and enlist small businesses in making our neighborhood safer for business.
