Executive Vice President, Neighborhood and Strategic Initiatives
World Business Chicago
When businesses thrive, communities thrive.
One way to support our business community is by inspiring an entrepreneurial spirit in our youth and supporting their vision and dreams to one day, own a business. This concept is not a foreign one, as many of our young folks today are entrepreneurially focused on their side jobs by way of popular apps like Postmates, Grubhub, Rover, TaskRabbit, etc.
Fostering this entrepreneurial spirit is why we are celebrating National Mentoring Month, this October. Entrepreneurial skills, such as the ability to take initiative and think on your feet, as well as critically solve problems, and communicate effectively – are increasingly viewed as essential for career success. This is especially true if you have an interest in owning a small or medium-sized business.
At World Business Chicago, our mission is to advance inclusive growth and our Neighborhood & Strategic Initiative team does this by supporting revitalization efforts in Chicago’s underserved neighborhoods. We believe that people should have access to opportunity and the chance to move up the economic ladder, particularly in areas where the benefits of economic development are not reaching everyone. As part of this, ChiBizHub is proud to support local businesses and organizations that encourage enthusiasm and ambition in young people.
Our team helps grow entrepreneurship in Chicago every day.
